Experiments in the Wild


TRIDENT functionality is described in [1].

The tool has been used to collect connectivity traces in a primary cloud forest in Ecuador [2], where the tests were run directly by the biologists, and, during both winter and summer, in an open field and mountain forests (beech and spruce) in Bondone Mountains [3], [4] and in the forests of Val di Sella [5], Italy .

Moreover, TRIDENT has been used indoor for pre-deployment connectivity tests in a large residential building [6], in a multi-chamber metal environment [7] and in vehicles [8].
